I didn't do a lot New Years Eve. Me and the OH were planning on going to bed early then some friends asked if they could come over with their little girl. They were an hour and a half late and showed at 9 o'clock. They bought some nuts and cakes over and I refused them all and stuck with having my ww snacks..... bbq snacks, cheesy biscuits, cheesy nachos and cheese and red onion rice sticks. All were just 1pt each. Also had a ww peanut bar for 1pt and a packet of lemony special K bites for 1.5pts. I ended the day coming in at exactly 24pts so not bad.
.
New years day we went to my parents for tea. My mum cooked roast chicken and pork tenderloins and even made roast potatoes cooked in spray. I also managed to stay away from the remainder of the chocolates and biscuits that were hanging around.
.
It's 4 days in to my WW week and I'm still pointing and tracking everything that's passing my lips. A SP is looking very promising. :o) I still don't know if I should be on 22 or 24 points a week. I re-took the points quiz a couple of months ago and changed my day to day life score from mainly sitting down, which was 0 points to Occasionally sitting, but mainly standing for 2 points. This changed my daily points allowance from 22 to 24. To be honest I think I'm somewhere between the two. I don't know if I should be on 22, 24 or maybe 23 points a day. I think I might have a chat with my WW leader on Wednesday if she's not too busy with all the new members that are bound to turn up to the meeting. If I go by my daily allowance being 24pts I've managed to bank 6pts already. If it's 22pts then I've gone over by 2pts. :0/
.
I've remembered to track on line so far this week and I've managed to drink my daily allowance of liquid each day. I've been able to book in for 4 water workout classes next week. I've really missed not doing them the last couple of weeks. I have been on the wii fit playing a few games for 65 minutes today and 45 minutes yesterday. I guess that's not to bad and better than nothing. Not really had chance to get out and go walking it, just going out the front door to the car I nearly slip over. We haven't had much snow, more sleet really and it's making the frosty ground quite slippery
.
I went out this morning to buy my son a 32 inch tv for his bedroom. He'd saved 2/3's of the money and he's paying me back the rest out of his pocket money each week. It's something he relly wanted and he's chuffed to bits that he's got a big screen to play his xbox on. Boys and their toys eh?
.
Whilst out today I brought myself a new pair of sassey red high heeled suede shoes and a royal blue necklace in the sales. I also picked up some holiday brochures as me and a friend are planning on going away to the sun for a week in May ;o) I've never ever been on a girls holiday and I can't wait :o) That'll mean lots of shopping in 3 months for new clothes and bikinis hopefully in size 16's :o) lol I'll have to make sure I keep up with the exercise as I'm affraid of getting saggy tummy skin. It's a good reason for keeping me focused and staying on track.
.
Good luck to everyone who's returning to their first WI since before Christmas this week. Also good luck to everyone who's beginning their journey next week and good luck to everyone who's continuing with their weight loss journey.

Day 351, WI wk50, Christmas and a new decade
Above is me on Christmas day.
.
Like most people, I've managed to gain this week. A total of 4lbs which I didn't think was too bad. I ate lots of nice things for a few days and it was a real treat. After a few days of eating chocolate and nuts my body started craving healthy food again. I just wanted salad again. How weird is that? So that's exactly what I've been having the last few days. I've been pointing the last few days but still managing to go over by a few. I'm so pleased the week is over and that I went to my WW meeting today. I'm back on the waggon today....official! I'm not to bothered about my gain, it'd of been really nice if it had only been 2lbs but hey, it's still only 4lbs.
Christmas day was spent at my parents house along with my sister and her 2 children. We had a lovely day and mum cooked a wonderful as always. After dinner my dad, sister and me had got the scrabble board out. We do this every year and it's something that we have to do. I sat there quite happily scoffing pringles and cashewnuts whilst keeping score.

To the left is a picture of me and my son Ryan. He's only 14 and towers above me already. He's lovely xxx
Below is a picture of me with my niece Kacie. She'll be 14 in the new year. She's such a pretty girl.

Below is a picture of my mummy doing what she does best. LOL. :o)

Below is a picture of my daddy with Kacie

I had some lovely presents. From my OH I got some shoe boots (shoes that look like boots but don't even come up to the ankles), some flat shoes, a heart rate monitor and a bottle of lime flavoured vodka! Can't wait to try that Tina ;o). I got a couple of CD's from my son that I wanted. I got a lovely turquoise coloured necklace and braclets from Tina which I wore Christmas day. From my parents I got a new coat, an umberella, leather gloves, a scarf, handbag and some pretty underwear. Mum and dad are also paying for 2 new front tyres on our car and my father-in-law gave us the money for the road tax for our van. How nice is that? Dad also put a red coloured note in an envelope for me. :o)
I've spent that and bought myself wii Fit Plus and Your Shape. It includes a camera that scans your body and projects your image onto the TV. That's gonna be a bloody sight LOL. My son has a wii and never uses it so I'm going to give it a whirl. I tried to use it before and bought My Fitness Coach. Only tried that once and didn't try again. I'm going to try them all this time though. Well, that's my intensions anyway.
I did book up for aqua aerobics on Monday and Tuesday this week but the pool didn't have any instructors and had to cancel. So on Monday night I went swimming instead. I was able to try out my heart rate monitor. You enter your height, weight, sex and age and it works out how many calories you burn during activity. I managed to cover 64 lengths of the pool in an hour and burnt off 366 calories. I thought that was quite good. I'll use it next time I do some kind of exercise. I've booked for aqua workout next Monday and Tuesday and I'm hoping to book up next Thursdays class in the morning. As the swimming pool is closed on New Years day I won't be able to book up for next Friday's class until Saturday morning. I hope I can get in. I do enjoy the classes and have really missed not doing them this past week. I never thought I'd be saying that I've missed doing exercise.
I'm quite excited about going into the New Year and into a New Decade. I'm leaving the last year and entering into the new one feeling a lot healthier and happier in myself. I'm in a positve frame of mind and still think that I can continue on this journey. Also as the year is drawing to a close I don't seem to be dreading turning 40 as much as I was at the beginning of the year. There's 28 weeks until my 40th birthday and I've got no plans for a party or big celebration. I quite like the idea of being somewhere hot for my birthday. I've got a little while to think about it yet.
I've set myself some new goals. The first is to loose 8lbs in the next 4 weeks hopefully sooner which will take me half way to goal. The 2nd is to loose 17 lbs by 31st March (13 wks away) which I think is the Wednesday before Easter and will take me into Onederland. I can't wait to reach that landmark and not be so affraid of telling people how much I weigh.
I've also joined Slimming for Cupid - 7 week Valentines challenge and Pauls F4N10 group. I was in it this past year and ended up in 2nd position on the final weight loss board.
I'd like to say a big thank you to all the people who take time to read my posts and to also thank you for all the comments that you leave. They are so greatfully received and very appreciated.

Anyway, I'd like to wish all my fellow bloggers and readers a wonderful 2010.
Happy New Year to you all!!
Cheers
Lots of love
Karon xxx
