Last night I went to water aerobics followed by an induction at the aquagym and I really enjoyed it! There's 8 different types of machines in the pool. An airwalker type machine, a rowing machine, a bike, weights to lift, a board that you put your back against, hold on to the handles and then lift your legs up and hold. A stepper thing where you just work your legs and another stepper thing a bit like an elliptical trainer, where you reach up and grab some handles and pull them down and push them up so you work your arms and legs at the same time and another machine a bit like a body figure twister.

I didn't put as much into it as I normally do as I had really bad wind cramps in my tummy. They were so bad that I didn't think I'd be able to do either of the classes. I told the instructor and she said exercise might actually help and advised me to take natural charcoal? Never heard of it but I'll look them out next time I'm in Boots. Whilst doing the class and induction things seemed a bit easier. I also burnt 500 calories according to my HRM. After I finished though the pain seemed to get worse through the evening. It finally eased off after 9 hours about 1.30am and I was able to get some sleep.

I've had wind cramps before but not like that. It was right up to my bust and down my back. It was awful and there was nothing I could do other than wait for it to work it's way out. I took some windeeze but they didn't work. Hopefully it'll stay away for a while now.

I've booked in for the aquagym next Tuesday lunch time. Couldn't get in before. There's 10 sessions a week and each class can only take 8 people. I'll have to look out for a cancellation. Ideally I'd like to go after doing my water workout on a Monday but it's already booked up for next week.

It's WI day tomorrow and I had gone over points by a few but have managed to pull them back, other than 5 and I hope to pull 3 of those back today. So my WW week is ending ok. SP on the scales isn't looking so great though. They've showed a tiny gain then a bit later a tiny loss.

I've got another water workout class tonight and I'm going to go on the treadmill before going out. WI is in the morning and then I've got my first aerobics class in 19 years! I'm going with my friend Rachel (she's also doing WW) and she's not done it for years either. I even went out and got myself some proper workout trousers rather than wear tracksuit bottoms. Got to wait round my sisters house in the afternoon for a workman to turn up and do some work. Then I've got belly dancing classes tomorrow night..... so a busy busy day.

I'll be back either tomorrow night or on Thursday to let you know how WI and aerobics goes. I'm kind of looking forward to the workout and a bit scared at the same time.

Wow, you go girl. That Aqua gym saounds really good fun, I don't think there is anything like that near me.

ReplyDeleteI've never heard of there being an aqua gym anywhere else other than the gym I go to and the pool in the next town that is run by the same people. They must be about somewhere.
