Day 392 NSV's

I popped into Cambridge today and tried on some size 14 jeans from Evans and they done up!!! Woohooo. I know they're Evans jeans and they're a bit bigger than most shops, but still, I got them on!! I've also got a pair of New Look size 16 straight leg jeans in my wardrobe and they also done up. Couldn't move in them too easily but they fastened!! I'm sooo chuffed. I've got some jeans that have size 14 on the label. Woohoooo. I've never owned a pair of jeans that are a size 14. Yipppeeee!!!
.
Also a few more NSV's from the weekend. I'm now able to borrow some of my sisters clothes. I've never been able to do that before. She's lent me all her bikinis for when I go on holiday with Tina so that saves me from buying any. I can also raid her wardrobe for some summery tshirts and tops and some shorts. The last lot of shorts I bought were size 22/24 and last year I made do with them. Can't do that this year though :o)
.
I've had a clear out of my wardrobe and now removed all the size 22/24 tops that I had left and all my trousers that were a size 20. Also done the same with my swimwear drawer and sorted out all my bikinis that I last wore 2 years ago. They're all size 22/24 and no good! Also sorted out all my cover up beach tops / kaftans. My wardrobe looks so bare!!! I think I need to put most of my stuff on ebay and get a few pennies together for my next lot of clothes. :o)
.
Final NSV that was noticed by my sister was how I was sitting on the sofa with my legs crossed. She hadn't noticed me doing that before, though I have been able to do it for a while now. She did ask me if I was able to sit crossed legged when I was bigger and I couldn't! So it's nice that she noticed.
.
On the eating side of things, I haven't been great. I've been really picky all weekend. Had a huge fight with 2 cheesecakes and artic roll whilst at my mums for dinner yesterday. The desserts won and I ended up with rather a large slice of each cheesecake and a tiny slice of artic roll. Oh dear. Promptly felt guilty afterwards. Whenever I go to my parents for dinner, more often than not I end up over my points and end up reducing my points for the remainder of the week. Maybe I should give up going there for Sunday dinner. To pull back my points I need to have about 12 a day. With todays tea planned I'll come in at 16.5pts. That's if I have no dessert and no more snacks. Had a late lunch at 4 o'clock today of smoked haddock, potatoes mashed with carrots and laughing cow and veggies. I cooked enough potatoes for tea too. I'm going to need tea later on as I'm off to do water aerobics followed by my 2nd go in the aqua gym. I'm sure to be famished when I get out of the water. I always am.
.
SP on the scales this morning were showing a gain of 3lbs.... hopefully I'll burn a bit of that off tonight and tomorrow night. Think I'll have to go on the treadmill tomorrow and maybe even use the wii too. I haven't had that out for a few weeks. Tomorrow I can't go anywhere as I'm waiting home for my nephews new computer to arrive. It'll be his 3rd one. The previous 2 had the same fault and have had to be returned. Third time lucky for him.
.
Even though I'm well over my points this week, I suppose if I take my activity points for the week into account I'll be ok. So why do the scales say otherwise?

  1. Yay! Congratulations on your new size 14 jeans. It's things like that that hit home to me that I really will make it to the end of this bloody long journey, so I can imagine how stoked you are. Plus, how exciting to be looking out your holiday wardrobe. The anticipation must feel great!

  3. Brilliant news about the jeans!

I am sure the scales aren't showing a true gain, it's likely just water retention or something, I can't see that a few points over would result in 3lbs on.

With all that exercise you are bound to be fine x

  4. Well done you! That is the ultimate, fitting into smaller clothes. Only bad thing about it, shopping is much more fun!

Why don´t you offer to bring the pudding, the next time you go to your mums for dinner and do a WW one?

  5. well done you !! WoW !! Size 14 is amazing hunnie. You must be over the moon. Keep up the good work.
Hope that gain sorts itself out. Im sure that a few points over will not result in a 3lb gain. Good luck for tomorrow or whenever you get weighed this week. My fingers are crossed that its a good one x x
