So sorry I've been missing again. I've just been really busy lately. Firstly WI last week was a gain of 3lbs. Not surprising really as I'd eaten loads of rubbish, and it was quite a stressful week with mum going in to hospital. WI this week was much better and I lost 3.5lbs. This has taken my total weight loss back to 5 stones off. I have no idea how I managed to lose so much this week but I'll gladly take it.
.
The beginning of my WW week was ok, went to Frankie and Bennies on Friday with Russ as he was off work and we had been together for 6 years. I had the bruchetta for starter, a pasta dish with chicken, panchetta and pepperoni in a tomato based sauce, minus the pepperoni. Then I had to have a dessert and had 3 mini chocolate brownies with a scoop of vanilla icecream and cream (left majority of it). Not totally good choices, but not terribly bad. It was all very nice though.
.
Saturday Russ drove me down to Orpington Kent at lunch time so that I could meet my friend Lynn for her hen night. I was very good and took a tuna salad with me for lunch. Got ready with her and we started drinking at 3.30. I wore a dress for the first time in 18 1/2 years and I must say that I felt pretty good. The heels were a killer though.

We caught a train into London, standing all the way. We then went on a party boat up the Thames which was lots of fun. Dinner on the boat was included which was a piece of chicken, 1/2 a jacket potato, spoonful of pasta in tomato sauce, lettuce and a bread roll. Just going on the food points I was quite good. Then I totted up my drink points which added at least another 18 :o/ I didn't mind though as it's not something that I do very often. We managed to get the earlier train back to Orpington but it meant we all had to run to catch it. I don't know how all 16 of us managed it as we were all wearing heels. I think we managed to annoy a few fellow passengers on the train as we were quite loud, singing and also blowing bubbles. One young lad did end up moving.... I think he was scared of 16 drunk ladies. Still it was a good night. We got back to the station 1/2 hour early and we had to wait for Russ to return to pick us up. Bless him, he took me to drop me off, went home, then come back again to take me home. Total of 300 miles so that I could go out, have a drink and have a fun night. He's such a sweet heart and I love him to bits. :o) We ended up getting home at 4 am as the clocks had gone forward.

I could hardly walk the next day as by feet were throbbing from wearing the heels. Really not used to it. They were still a bit sore 3 days later!! I'm really looking forward to Lynn and Dan's wedding on the 10th April. I'll be wearing another dress!!

Must also tell you that mum went in for her knee replacement. She arrived at the hospital at 3pm last Tuesday and mum was due to have her op at 7pm. We didn't see anyone until nearly 7pm and her op was nearly cancelled. In the end they decided to do it and she went down at 9pm. She was back in her room just after midnight we were all there. She was so pleased that she hadn't been sick when she come round. She kept on laughing and it was like she was drunk. She entertained us for the short while we were there. Bless her. The op went really well and she was sent home less than 48 hours later. Can you belive that. She's had a few problems with the district nurse not coming out to dress her wound when she were supposed to. It was done 4 days later when she had to go to the doctors. The doc took her through to see the nurse and she was a right cow! She yanked her leg, tutted and moaned about the doctor and then informed my mum that they only do house visits if you're house bound. FFS, she can't drive for 6-8 weeks, that means she's house bound! Mum got wound up about it for a few days until we told her to talk to her GP and complain. The doctor phoned yesterday and he's looking into it. Mum's also had a few bad nights sleep but the last couple of nights have been much better. She's been doing her various different exercises and is trying to walk about as much as possible to get her leg working. Her leg is still very swollen and the bruising is only just starting to come out. Still, things will start to improve for her soon.

This last 2 weeks I've also been really busy selling my old clothes on ebay. I can't believe how much some people are willing to pay for second hand clothes. I managed to get nearly £400 which is more than enough spending money for my holiday to Zante with Tina in just over 4 weeks!! I so can't wait. I've bought some cropped trousers, a few tops and bikinis. All I need now are some shorts. I can't wait to get my suitcase out and start packing!!!
.
I've not really got much planned for Easter weekend. If the weather improves I hope to go to some boot sales on Monday.
.
Happy Easter everyone. Catch ya soon xxx

wow you have been a busy bee !! You look fantastic in that dress Karon, bet you felt a million dollars !! Glad mum is ok, but I really feel she should complain about that. I think thats disgusting. A knee replacement is not a small op, and I would be a bit hacked off being treated like that.
