I've had such a busy couple of weeks, but not really doing much of
anything at the same time. I'm trying to pop down the road and see my mum as much as possible and I've also been sitting at my sisters house whilst workman are in sorting out her bathroom. They're now there into the third week and it just seems to be taking forever. Unfortunatly it's the only loo in the house and if I need to go I have to go back home. Just as well I only live half a mile away.

Spending so much time at my sisters house means that I'm out of my usual routine and am still struggling to stay on track. Last week I had a gain of 2.5lbs and this week is looks like the scales are still moving in the wrong direction. I've not been eating as well as I could be and I haven't been doing quite as much exercise as I'd like to be doing. I really want to get out and go walking but by the time I get home at 4.30 it's starting to get cold again and all I want to do is go home and do a few bits. I'm still managing to go to my water workout classes in the evening so I'm doing something. I've also been thinking about doing the 200 sit up challenge. I'm going to do the initial test in the next couple of days and then start next Monday.

I had a fantastic weekend which is another contributing factor to another weight gain this week. Our friends Lynn and Daniel got married on Saturday. We stayed at a Travelodge the night before the wedding and went out for dinner at TGI Friday's. I love there food and the nearest one to me is an hour away. For a starter we shared the bruchetta. Main course was 2 chicken breasts with their Jack Daniels sauce and cheesy mash with veggies. Very nice it was too. Then I decided go the whole hog and finished with the chocolate fudge cake and icecream for dessert. It was good though. Then on Saturday morning we got up and went to Tesco's for breakfast where I was planning on having egg on toast..... but no, the smell of the bacon and sausages got to me and the offer of 10 breakfast items and a pot of tea for £3.95 seemed a lot more inviting. I asked for 2 sausages, a fried egg, scrambled egg, mushrooms, beans, 2 toast & butter and 2 bacon. The bacon ended up as being 4 slices on the plate and I also demolished Russells 2 slices of toast as well. I did leave a sausage though. ;o) Still I really enjoyed it and I hadn't had a cooked breakfast since before starting WW.

The wedding itself was wonderful. They couldn't of asked for a more beautiful day. The sun shone all day and it was marvalous. The bride and groom looked gorgeous and it was a fantastic day all round. The afternoon meal was lovely and we had potato and leek soup, lamb with all the trimming followed by profiteroles. Not forgetting the pimms and wine on the table. Then the buffett in the evening was sandwiches, wraps, bbq chicken pieces, sausage rolls, quich... all lovely finger food that said 'pick me up' each time anyone passed the table. It didn't help that I was sitting right next to it either.

I did have a little bit of a dance with a few of the girls in the evening and had a few more drinks. I wore a dress for the 2nd time in 2 weeks, the time before that being 18 1/2 years ago. It's becoming a regular habbit!! I don't think I scrubbed up too bad. At the end of the evening Russ drove me home which took 2 hours instead of 70 minutes as the M11 was closed. Instead of going the way he knew he decided to leave it to the sat nav and it took us along some very bendy narrow roads. I get a bit of travel sickness and felt bloody horrible by the time I got home. We got home at 2am and all I wanted to do was sleep off the sick feeling. I didn't even take my make up off.

Sunday morning we were up and out by 8 o'clock and went to 3 car boot sales. Didn't really buy much but it was nice to get out in the fresh air and do a bit of walking.

Today it's 3 weeks until I go on holiday with Tina. My suitcase is out of the loft ready to be packed. I've got a little bit of holiday shopping to do before we go. It's coming round so quick!! So looking forward to it.

It's also only 95 days until I turn 40. If I want to reach the 100lb off by that date I've got my work cut out cos I've been mucking around all this year. As I'm looking at another gain this week it's going to be around the 35lbs to lose in 13 weeks, with a holiday.... that's going to be a tough one. Actually, writing that down is making me feel like I really want to get back on track and stay there! Let's hope that feeling continues. I don't think I'll be able to get 35lbs off by my birthday but I'm going to try for at least 20..... any more will be a bonus!!!

you look lovely
ReplyDeleteSounds like you had a fantastic wedding weekend, and you looked gorgeous in your dress! Ok, now you want to get back on track, so blinkers on, Karon, and go for it. One day at a time and they will all mount up. :)
