My friend Rachel goes to WW with me and after the meeting we both went swimming. I was rather pleased as we managed to do 40 lengths of the pool in 45 minutes. I didn't think that was too bad considering we were chatting throughout and with my dodgy shoulder. It seems as though it's on the mend at last. Talking of my shoulder I've got more physio tomorrow. The other sides insurance have agreed to 5 sessions to start off with and I'm on my final session. I'm also going to be assessed to see how many further sessions I may need.
I've got a couple of finds to share with you all.
First of all is Tesco barbecue 2 Salmon Burgers with a light zesty lemon flavour. These are quite nice and are only 1.5pts each. You can find these in the freezer section and are on offer for £1. Probably because it's now the end of the BBQ season and they're being sold off.

Second is Tesco barbecue 10 Salmon Mini Fillets. These are coated in a lime, chilli & coriander glaze and take only 12 minutes to cook in the oven or under the grill. In each pack there are 2 packs of 5 and are only 3pts for 5 pieces. These are also half price at only £1.50 which I think is a bargain!! I really liked these and had them with rice and salad. A very quick meal for when you're in a hurry to scoff food down your gullet! :o) If you can find them in Tesco I recommend them. I bought some a couple of weeks ago and the last couple of days I've looked in 4 different Tesco's before finding some more. So I bought 6 packs which should keep me going for quite some time. :o)

Also here's a picture of the pasta bake that my son made at school last week. He had to make something that was suitable for someone who wants to lose weight. It was 9pts for 1/4 serving but it could be less if you miss out the cheese. Very, very tasty and I think he done rather a good job. It tasted great!!

Do any of you who go to WW meeting notice in last weeks 'Your Week' (no 37), that on page 7 the sandwiches on the page have a different description next to them. They've both got listed the total kcals, the fat, carbs, fibre and protein with the points value. Never noticed that in the magazine before. Maybe that's an indication of the 'new WW plan' that's supposed to be happening in the coming weeks. The leaders have their meeting this week so hopefully we'll know more about it next week at our meeting.
If the rumours are true it looks as though points are going to be worked out differently. Both how many points we're allowed and the points value in our food. It looks like it might be very similar to the American way of doing things. It'd be nice if WW just admitted that it's going to happen rather than removing threads of the message boards and denying it's happening. You can't get kitchen scales or calculators at meetings anymore, as well as they were heavily reduced a few months ago, and they've not been available in the WW magazines since May. The signs are there, it's just a question of when is it going to happen?
Lastly I'd like to say a big hello to Nicola who contacted me through facebook to say that she's been reading my blog for the last 7 months and what an inspiration I'd been over the months. She's been on her own weight loss journey and has lost an incredible 70lbs in 7 months and is just 7lbs away from her goal. WOW, WOW, WOW!! It was so lovely to have the message from her. Thank you so much for getting in touch. It's nice to know that there's a few people out there who like to read it.
Hape you're all having a good week people. Catch ya all soon xxx

Ah that's a right bummer with the scales, but I am sure they cannot be right!
ReplyDeleteThanks for the recommendations too, I love Salmon so I shall have to look out for them next time I am in Tesco.
Very curious about this new WW plan we 'may' be getting - not sure it needs to change really - more expense for us all!
Have a good week.
x
the scales will eat their words this week I am sure!!!
